Hats are one of my many weaknesses. I did not start wearing hats faithfully until several years ago. I could never find any that looked right or fit properly. I began to stalk eBay for hats -- 1930s-1950s eras -- but unfortunately every one wanted too much for them. I kept stalking and dreaming and looking and dreaming some more, until I found a seller with 130 hats. Yes, you read that right -- 1 3 0 one hundred thirty hats. There had to be some that would fit me! Oh, I had goosebumps on my arms; my every sense wanted them so very badly. I didn't want to pay the asking price so I entered a best offer. That best offer was too low; so I entered another one. That was still too low. Even though I wanted those hats so much I cringed as I entered another best offer. Aha! That did the trick. My heart plummeted as I realized what had happened. I was the owner of 130 hats. Everyone would call me the crazy hat lady for sure. Did it bother me? Not a bit. :) When three large boxes arrived by UPS a few weeks later, I could hardly contain myself. The entire afternoon spent trying on hats, I found that there were several hats that fit and looked darling, and set off my face very well. The hats that did not fit, I was able to resell them to other happy "crazy hat" people, but the ones I did get to keep I love them so much and wear them faithfully. Here are a few that I simply adore; and I wonder: do any of you have a favorite hat or hat(s) that you wear faithfully? How did you acquire them?
